Back to School Bonfire

On the Saturday of the 2nd week of band camp and the last Saturday before graduation the Marina Entertainment Troupe or MET hosts a bonfire at Bolsa Chica State Beach. All members of the band and orchestra AND THEIR FAMILIES are invited to attend. The bonfire officially begins at 6pm but students are generally on the beach by 5:30 am to get a fire pit. Once we get started hot dogs, chips, soda and s’mores are provided for all. Parents usually up the food level and bring their own ‘gourmet’ types of food. The party winds down about 9:30 pm and everyone is gone by 10pm. Students can be dropped off at the Jack in the Box at Warner and PCH - just don’t use the circle drive area - they have been know to ticket!!
